This Is The BKA Who We Are Kodály Choirs Kodály Choir of London Holborn House Community Centre, Central London The Kodály Choir of London meets on the second Sunday of most months York Kodály Choir Christchurch Church, York, YO31 1JG Musical Director : Ruth McCartney The York Kodály Choir meets on Saturday afternoon bi-monthly. 2-4pm Kodály Choir of London Holborn House Community Centre, Central London Musical Director: Alan Murdock The Kodály Choir of London rehearses choral music using Kodály principles. Some knowledge of solfa is recommended, and some choral singing experience is helpful. We sing beautiful music from a wide range of styles and eras of music etc, under the able direction of Alan Murdock. Work involves a range of pieces and exercises of varied ease/difficulty, some accessible for less experienced sight readers, some quite challenging. We are a small friendly group, who meet for the enjoyment and practice of music. Occasionally we present a concert, often informally for friends and family. Time and Venue: The choir usually meet at 2:00pm to 5:00pm , normally on the second Sunday of most months, at the Holborn House Community Centre, Emerald Room, 35 Emerald Street, WC1N 3QW. (10 minutes walk from Russell Square or Holborn tube, 15 minutes walk from Farringdon for Elizabeth Line and Thameslink.) Dates Spring & Summer 2026: 8th February 8th March - no rehearsal: the choir will be singing at the British Kodály Academy's annual membership day. 12th April 10th May 14th June 12th July All sessions 2-5pm, at Holborn House Community Centre Check with choir Secretary (see below) if dates are not published here.
