The final full day is always full of moments when everything we've been learning starts to click into place. Solfa flows easily, rhythm names roll off the tongue, and arms beat time correctly.

In conducting classes, tutors are fine-tuning hand and arm positions in the Intermediate and Advanced classes, as the Beginner levels are improving their beating and articulations.

Our Vocal Consultant, Florent Isoard, continues to be busy, with all his individual lessons booked up. And no wonder- delegates come out of his lessons gushing about how much they have improved, and how Florent brought out the best in their voice.

Today's 'Effective Teaching Ideas' were led by Dominic Harlan, focusing on using instruments in a Kodály setting. Dominic effused energy and excitement as he shared his activities, which, amongst other things, had Delegates playing and singing in solfa to 'Charlie Brown's Christmas', Mariachi music, and 'Stand By Me'!

James Cuskelly led the final Signing Games session, focusing on games for older pupils. There was much hilarity in the room as Delegates got themselves in a tangle with the various activities!

Our day finished with a social evening, led by The Black Horse Ceilidh Band. It was a riotous time with fantastic music, dances and laughter. Unfortunately, fast movement doesn't photograph very well- apologies for the slight blurry quality of some of these pictures!
