Today was the first day of this year's summer school, as first-time Delegates are welcomed into the BKA family by those who have been coming for years! It is always fascinating to see how quickly everyone finds their feet, as we start to sing.

The Great Hall was filled with joyous voices as we started with an opening song, led by Alan Murdock.

James Cuskelly challenged us to think about how we teach, and whether we are ensuring that 'only the best is good enough' as Kodály insisted.

We then had our first Musicianship sessions, followed by a wonderful session with the inimitable Allan Hubert-Wright, who took us through ways to keep our voice healthy as we sing and talk together all week!

Tomorrow brings the first full day, with sessions in Methodology, singing games, English folk songs and more!
